Membership of the |

Damascus Emergency Preparedness Team (DEPT) membership currently comprises 17 residents of the community who have completed the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) curriculum under the aegis of Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service. This number is expected to increase as each new training class fills up. |
| In all, some 70 Montgomery County residents have completed their training. The Damascus group is the first group from one area to complete the course. |
| DEPT membership is open to all Damascus residents. |
